Obituary of Agnes Cooper

Resident of Bridgeport Agnes Mary Johnson Cooper, age 80, of Bridgeport, a retired sales associate for D. M. Reads, went to God peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2006 in 3030 Park Fairfield Health Center. Born in Bridgeport on November 7, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Arvilla Greenman Johnson. During her youth she was a pop singer at many area night clubs and had won many awards for her singing. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Norman J. Cooper and two sisters, Dora Gingolaski and Florence Knapp. Survivors include a sister, Joyce Surace and her husband, John of Bridgeport as well as three nieces and two nephews. Funeral Information A Prayer Service will take place on Thursday, March 2, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
