Obituary of Reginald Coon

Retired Bridgeport Fire Fighter Reginald C. Coon, age 74, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 13, 2005 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on January 4, 1931, he was the beloved husband of Antoinette (Toni) Bonitatebus Coon. He was a son of the late Ralph and Veronica Smith Coon and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Coon retired as a Pump Engineer after 33 years of service from the City of Bridgeport Fire Department. In addition to his devoted wife of 46 years, survivors include three sons, Michael C. Coon and his wife Michele of Milford, Thomas J. Coon and his wife Lori Gibson of Shelton and John R. Coon of Bridgeport, his beloved daughter, Laura M. Marino and her husband Frank of Shelton, grandchildren, James and Casey Coon, Sophia and Christina Marino and Dana Gibson, two brothers, Ralph Coon of Bountiful, Utah, Kenneth Coon and his wife Angie of Southbury, a sister, Louise Flessner of Urban, Illinois and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Barbara P. Kenney. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 15, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. in Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
