Obituary of Ann Cook

Resident of Bridgeport Ann J. Voronelis Cook, age 89, of Bridgeport, a retired employee of Remington Rand, died on Sunday, July 27, 2008 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on March 3, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Josephine Zomojcz Voronelis. She was a member of the Senior Citizens at Our Lady of Good Counsel, enjoyed sewing and playing the role of Mrs. Santa. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all the caregivers at St. Vincent Medical Center and VNS Services for the care they provided. She was pre-deceased by her husband William Joseph Cook, a brother Stephen Voronelis Jr. and a sister, Jean Tulka. Survivors include two devoted daughters, Deanna Pietrowicz and her husband Alessio of Bridgeport, Janet Wheeler and her husband Robert of Longmont, Colorado, her brother-in-law Ernest Cook and his wife Irene of Easton, six loving grandchildren, Dawn Caserta and her husband Fred, Craig Pietrowicz and his wife Mary and children, Holly Mastroianni and her husband Alex, Tara Pietrowicz, Eric Wheeler and his wife Alyx, and Kyle Wheeler and his fiance Heidi, three cherished great grandchildren, Leo and Mason Caserta and Evan Wheeler and several devoted nieces and nephews. She was extremely devoted to her family and will be sadly missed. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
