Obituary of Jane M. Angelica

Our beloved Mamma, Jane Marie Angelica, 93 years old, died on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, while in the compassionate care of Hospice, Boynton Beach Florida. She passed peacefully with her son, Gerald and daughter, Janie by her side. Jane was born on August 4, 1920 in Bridgeport, CT. She was the daughter of Joseph Tantalo Sr. and Jennie Casillo. She is predeceased by her sister, Rose LaConte and brother, Victor Tantalo. Jane is survived by her brother, Joseph Tantalo and sister-in-law, Marge. Jane is also survived by her children: Joseph Angelica and wife Fabienne of Myrtle Beach, SC; Dennis Angelica and wife Linda of Wolcott, CT; Gerald Angelica and wife Nancy of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; Vic Angelica and wife Joy of New Fairfield, CT; and Jane Ellen Angelica of Oxford, CT. Jane has 15 Grandchildren, 20 Great grandchildren, 2 Great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Jane was a loving mother who raised her five children while working a full-time job. During the early 1950s she operated her own business, Angelica Real-estate Agency; later Jane worked as an Investigator for the CT State Welfare Department. Jane was a caring mother who sacrificed and worked diligently to teach good values, work ethic, and manners to her children. She was extremely compassionate and empathetic, always willing to offer a helping-hand to family, friends, and strangers. Known for her joyful and vibrant personality, Jane had many friends and companions. She was the focal point of the family and loved to entertain and hold festive parties. She had an infectious gift of joy which had an uplifting effect on people. Many called her Miss Sunshine. Always courageous and willing to take a chance, Jane sold her house in Easton, CT and moved to Florida when she was 83 years of age. While there she met her loving companion of ten years, John Ohanesian. Her passion for music and dance moved her and always brightened her spirits. She sang in the Songsters Choir until she was 89. She will be truly missed!!! Funeral Information Calling hours are Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 2 to 6 pm in Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, CT. A Mass celebrating Janes life will be held on Monday, 11:00 am at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull, CT followed by interment at Riverside Cemetery, 477 Howe Street (Rt110) Shelton, CT.
