Obituary of Anthony J. Conte

Anthony (Sonny) Conte, age 75, of Bridgeport, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born on April 14, 1937, he was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport and the son of the late Frank and Helen Alberico Conte. Tony spent 33 years as a teacher at Stamford Catholic High School (which later became Trinity Catholic). He served on the Board of Directors of the Fairfield County Federal Credit Union for many years. Tony had a great love for the Symphony, which was second only to the love he had for his nieces and nephews. After his retirement, he volunteered as lector, eucharistic minister and altar server at St. Margarets Shrine and was a member of the Seniors Club. Survivors include two sisters, Carol Schmidt and her husband Robert of Bridgeport and Evelyn Dudeck of Trumbull, nieces and nephews, Robert Schmidt of Bridgeport, Lynn Madar and her husband Robert of Trumbull, Kim Schmidt of Fort Mitchell, KY, Thomas Dudeck of Bridgeport and Paul Dudeck and his wife Carolyn of Cheshire, great nieces, Michelle Madar, Madison Dudeck, Tea-Marie Dudeck and Mackenzie Dudeck and great nephew, Robert Madar. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 1:00 p.m. in St. Margarets Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
