Obituary of Madeline S. Colonnese

Loving Mother and Grandmother Madeline S. Colonnese, age 90, formerly of Bridgeport, died on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at CT Hospice, Branford. Born in New London on June 3, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Gabriel and Grace Schibelli Sargent. Madeline was a retired Customer Service Representative for Peoples Bank. Her greatest pleasure in life was being surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband, John R. Colonnese, two brothers, Gabriel and Sabatino and three sisters, Jennie, Grace and Gilda. Survivors include a son, John M. Colonnese and his wife Patricia of Fairfield, two daughters, Grace Tamayo and husband Juan of Coral Gables, FL and Rita Roberto and husband David of Milford, a sister, Splendora Sargent of New London, seven grandchildren, Alyda and Marc Tamayo, Steven, Paul and Michael Marchetti, Erin and Brian Colonnese, five great grandchildren, Eric, Kyle, Dylan, Ella, and Madison Marchetti and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 9 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10 a.m. in St. Margarets Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
