Obituary of Thomas C. Cocozza

Fairfield resident Cocozza Thomas C. Cocozza, age 65, died peacefully at home on Saturday, September 2, 2006 surrounded by his family. Born in Bridgeport, he resided in Fairfield for 39 years. He is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years; Marie E. Coletta Cocozza and three loving and supportive daughters: Dawn Cocozza Fagerquist and husband Eric; Dena Cocozza OHara and husband Keith; Darsi Cocozza Baer and husband Jason; a brother Louis H. Cocozza and wife Dorothy and a sister, Mary Lou Paskowski all of Huntington. He is predeceased by his parents the late Adam and Sunny Cocozza. Also survived by seven loving grandchildren, Dylan, Keith, Rhone, Duun and Teagan OHara, Max and Jack Baer and two step-granddaughters, Rachel and Kate OHara; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Toms inner strength and faith helped him to accept his illness with courage. He had a great love for family and took great pride in his work as an award winning graphic design artist. He was recently recognized by St. Vincents Foundation for his work with Swim Across the Sound for the past decade. An avid sportsman and Yankee fan, he enjoyed tennis, skiing, golf and participating in the annual Pequot Thanksgiving Day races in Fairfield. A true gentleman, he will be missed sadly by all. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet DIRECTLY in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd., Fairfield on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Oak lawn Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
