Obituary of Louis H. Cocozza

Resident of Huntington Louis Lou H. Cocozza, age 69, a longtime resident of Huntington, beloved husband of 47 years to Dorothy Paskowski Cocozza, died peacefully with his family at his side on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport, he was a son of the late Adam and Assunta (Sonny) Mazzucco Cocozza. He was also predeceased by his brother Thomas Cocozza, a sister and brother-in-law, Marylou and Walter Paskowski and a grandson Kevin Louis Cocozza. Lou was a proud graduate of Central High School whowas active in school athletics and recently co-chaired his 50th reunion. A vestry member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Huntington, he was currently a faithful member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Nichols and was a brother of the Corinthian Order Masons. Lou was a supervisor with S.N.E.T. Co., retiring after 30 years of dedicated service. Lou loved golf, bowling, warm weather and time spent with friends. He was an active member of Tashua Knolls Mens Club which he had served as President. A best friend of many, he enjoyed travel and long trips to Florida, but his heart brought him to Virginia Beach and Cape Cod to visit his six grandchildren. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his loving children, a daughter and son-in-law, Cori and Jeff Ketcherside of VA, a son and daughter-in-law, Kyle Louis and Elaine Cocozza of MA. His grandchildren have wonderful memories of Poppa Lou: Kyle Quinn, Rachel, Christine and Louis Cocozza and Tanner and Max Ketcherside. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Betty Kudravy, William and Geri Tanner and Marie Cocozza, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Trinity Episcopal Church, 1734 Huntington Turnpike, Trumbull, CT. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
