Obituary of Andrew F. Cimmino

Andrew F. Cimmino, age 87, of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Dorothy Paterno Cimmino, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Maefair Health Care Center, Trumbull. Born in Naples, Italy on October 12, 1923, he was the son of the late Rachaele Nuzzo Cimmino and Clemente and Marta Cimmino. He was the owner of the former Oakview Restaurant in Bridgeport for over 30 years and was a retired Health Inspector for the Town of Trumbull. Mr. Cimmino was a member of the Mill River Country Club and Newtown Country Club. His passions were to play golf and his accordion, and to reminisce of his childhood days growing up in Bedford Hills, New York.

He was pre-deceased by a beloved granddaughter, Allyson Cimmino and brother and sister-in-law, Ernie and Joan Kish.

Survivors include a son, Louis Cimmino and his wife Susan of Shelton, two daughters, Gail Kennedy and her husband William of Monroe, and Laurie Cimmino of Seymour, four cherished grandchildren, Melissa Ferreira and her husband Steve, Rachel Cimmino and Billy and Sean Kennedy, a great grandson Brayden; brother Louis Cimmino and his wife Nancy of Fairfield, nieces and nephews, Donna Kish Marino and her husband Chris and their son Michael, Robert Kish and his wife Suzzanne and their daughters, Jennifer and Natalie; Glenn Cimmino, Gregory Cimmino and his wife Nancy and their sons, Peter, Daniel, Curtis; Daniel Cimmino and his wife Cheryl and their children, Marc and his wife Marlana and Matthew; and Wendy Choi and her husband Dr. Ken Choi and their sons Louis and Andrew. 

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
