Obituary of Louis J. Cifone

U. S. Army Veteran of World War II Louis J. Cifone, age 83, of Trumbull, a retired employee of Sikorsky Aircraft, died on Monday, January 9, 2006 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on December 27, 1922, he was a son of the late Anthony and Gertrude Cerino Cifone. A U. S. Marine Corps Veteran of World War II, Mr. Cifone was a Trumbull resident for 15 years. He was a former Quartermaster for the Bridgeport P.A.L. Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps and a member of American Legion Post #141. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Rose Mucci Cifone and a sister, Josephine Saccardo. Survivors include a daughter, Anita DiDio and her husband, Nick of Stratford, two grandchildren, Nicole Ranocchia and her husband, Michael and John DiDio and his wife, Lori, two great grandchildren, Talia Rose and Alyssa Marie, a niece Patricia Patria and her husband, Richard of Trumbull, a great nephew, Anthony Patria, his devoted companion, Clare Hoff and her family. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 12, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
