Obituary of Angelina L. Ciarmella

Bridgeport Resident CiarmellaAngelina (Angie) Ciarmella, age 86 of Bridgeport, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully on December 10th. Angie, daughter of the late Rosalina and Vincenzo DeMichele, was born on September 14, 1922 in New Haven. She graduated from Commercial High School and worked as a bookkeeper for Bryant Electric and S. S. Kresges. She was involved in the PTA at Nathan Hale School, a member of the Marian Guild at St. Margarets Shrine and served as a Den Mother for her sons cub scout pack. She was the beloved and devoted wife of the late Arcangelo Ciarmella whom she married on March 2, 1946. Survivors include her loving children, Darlene Guglielmoni and her husband Art of Stratford, Tom Ciarmella and his wife Rita of Monroe, and Lisa Schwabacher and her husband Shelley of Milford; her grandchildren, Monica Fabian and her husband Robert, Louis Ciarmella and his fiance, Melissa Thompson, Abbie Martino and her husband Jeff, and Aaron and Adam Schwabacher; her great grandchildren, Sophia and Brooke Fabian. Angie is also survived by her sister, Connie Frinzi and her husband Sabby, her sister-in-law, Rose Mastrone, many nieces and nephews, and her dear friend, Bob Romano. Besides her husband, Angie was predeceased by her brothers, Louis and Peter DeMichele. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to her devoted caregivers who enabled Angie to stay in her home until late in her illness by providing such loving care, Maria, Celina, Veska and Katya. The family would also like to thank the staff on the 2nd floor, Kuriansky Building at the Jewish Home for the Elderly for their compassion and excellent care of their mom these past 3 years. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place Monday, December 15th at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Margarets Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. Michaels Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 14th.
