Obituary of Charles J. Ciambriello

Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather Charles J. Ciambriello Sr., age 77 of Huntington, CT, formerly of Trumbull and husband of 55 years to Joan Porch Ciambriello, entered into eternal rest in the presence of Christ on Tuesday August 3, 2010. He leaves behind his much loved son, Chuck Ciambriello and wife Dawn, and his three wonderful, caring grandchildren, Ryan, Carly and Alec Ciambriello, also of Huntington, CT. Charlie was a graduate of Central High School class of 1950. As a young man he worked at Yurdins Electronics on Madison Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. He then went on to drive with Wonder Bread, and eventually worked his way up the ladder becoming Sales Manager for a plant in Holyoke MA. In the early seventies he had the opportunity to partner with his younger brother Andy as painting and wallpapering contractors, a successful partnership that lasted 30 years. Charlie was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, dedicating his life to his family. Although suffering from Alzheimers Disease for the last six years of his life, he never lost his love for his family or his appreciation for the simple things in life. He was an active member of his bowling league and will be remembered by many for his gracious, honest and gentlemanly manner. He leaves behind to mourn him a dearly loved sister Mary Lou Formato and her husband Joseph, and two brothers, Frank Ciambriello and wife Ann Ciambriello of Dennis, MA, and Andrew Ciambriello and wife Jean Ciambriello, of Bridgeport, CT. He was predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Columbia Ciambriello also of Bridgeport, CT. He also leaves behind a loving mother-in-law, Mary Porch of Margate, FLA., and brother and sister in laws; Maryanne and James Perrotta of Elmira, NY., Steve and Joann Porch of Margate Florida, and Ron and Barbara Nassef of Fort Lauderdale, FLA. Charlie also had many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly as well. The family also wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Sol Amor Hospice of Milford CT, in particular, nurse Lisa and aide Christine. In addition, Carol from The Griswold Agency, and Kewida, from The Loving Care Agency, all who extended so much care, comfort and support during his last days. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday August 6, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Easton.
