Obituary of Susan M. Charney

Susan M. Scordo Charney, age 84, beloved wife of William Charney, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Lord Chamberlain in Stratford. Born in Stamford on January 1, 1929, she was a daughter of the late John and Sarah Santa Piro Scordo. Before her retirement she was employed at Casco Products for over 40 years. Susan loved to read and was an avid bowler at Nutmeg Lanes and Circle Lanes both of Fairfield. In addition to her husband William of 57 years, survivors include a son, Frank Winner and his wife Nancy of Trumbull, a granddaughter Michele Tuck and her husband Jeff of Southbury, two great grandchildren, Mikayla and Justin Tuck, two brothers, Joseph (Pepe) Scordo and his wife Joyce of Old Greenwich and Mike Scordo and his wife Chicky of Stamford and two sisters, MaryJane Rashan and her husband Ed of Milford and Phyllis Ripley of Santa Maria, CA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, September 20, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
