Obituary of Anthony L. Cerino

May 02, 2007 Stratford Resident Anthony Tony L. Cerino Jr., age 57, of Stratford, died peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, May 2, 2007, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was owner and CEO of Retail Service Associates, Inc., for 30 years. He devoted his life to caring for his family and they will miss his love for life, his sense of humor and his big heart. Tony formerly coached Park City Little League and was an avid baseball fan of his three sons and the NY Yankees. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 35 years, Maureen Cerino of Stratford, his children, Anthony L. Cerino III (Kim LaFrenier), of Shelton, Natalie Cerino (Joseph Kovacic), Eric Cerino and Abigail Allen, all of Stratford, Christian Cerino and Chloe Cerino, both of Syracuse, N.Y. He is also survived by his father, Anthony L. Cerino, Sr. of Stratford, a brother, Joseph (Barbara) Cerino of Rhode Island, four sisters, Lucille Ring of Branford, Jackie Vallillo (Dave Craig) of Stratford, Anne Spoldi (Franco) of California and Carey Moran (James) of Shelton, his grandson, Anthony L. Cerino IV of Exeter, RI, his mother-in-law, Helen Riccio of Stratford, and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Tony was predeceased by his mother, Ann Cassidy Cerino, and his brother-in-law, John Vallillo. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. James Church, 2110 Main St., Stratford, on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
