Obituary of Edmond L. Cellini

Resident of Trumbull Edmond L. Cellini, age 84, of Trumbull, loving husband of the late Barbara Jean Litke Cellini, died on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on May 21, 1926, he was a son of the late Luigi Benvenuto Cellini and Catherine Cipriano Cellini Troiano. Known to many as Ace, Cele or Mondie, he was a retired Meter Proofer for Sprague Meter Textron. A U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, he was stationed on the USS Robert H. Smith, the only ship not to be damaged or sunk at Okinawa. An avid bowler, he was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 10059 in Trumbull and the American Legion. He was pre-deceased by his stepfather Ettore Troiano, a sister, Bertha Anthony and two brothers, Rudolph and Louis Cellini. Survivors include three sons, Edmond L. Cellini Jr. and his wife Lori and Kevin Cellini, all of Trumbull and Alexander Lozada and his wife Lorene of North Carolina, three grandchildren, Sarah, Alexander Jr. and Audra Lozada, a brother-in-law, William Litke of Florida, a sister-in-law, Arlene Litke of Stamford as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Family and friends are invited to meet directly at the Chapel Mausoleum in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford at 12:00 noon on Monday, July 12, 2010 for graveside committal services. There will be no calling hours.
