Obituary of Joseph E. Cavalleri

Resident of Trumbull Joseph E. Cavalleri, age 83, of Trumbull, retired owner and operator of M & J Trucking and Fuel Oil, died on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on March 4, 1926, he was a son of the late Joseph Cavalleri and Grace Nascimbeni Cavalleri. A U.S. Navy Veteran, Joseph owned 29 antique cars and enjoyed attending car shows. Survivors include his beloved wife of 61 years, Marie Ferrando Cavalleri, a sister, Elaine Pizzuto of Florida, a loving niece and caregiver Diana Torre of Trumbull, three nephews Joseph Mazzucco of Milford, Peter Mazzucco of Trumbull and Ralph Pizzuto of Florida as well as several additional nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a sister Dorothy Mazzucco and a niece Nona Lopez. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Margarets Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
