Obituary of Joseph J. Cataldo

Joseph J. Cataldo, age 79, of Shelton, a retired employee of Dresser Industries, died on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born and raised in Fairfield on October 2, 1926, he was the son of Salvatore and Providence Cataldo. A Bridgeport resident for over 52 years, he formerly owned and operated Hudson Machine Tool Company. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Elsie Franzo Cataldo. Survivors include two sons, Michael J. Cataldo and his wife, Joan of Shelton and Robert J. Cataldo and his wife, Dawn of Milford, a sister, Marian Battaglia and her husband, Philip of Shelton, six grandchildren, Jason, Matthew and his fiance Courtney, Justin, Christine, Joshua and Jenna and her fiance, John as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
