Obituary of Louis Mariano A. Catalano

Louis Mariano A. Catalano, of Stratford, a retired shipping manager for Warnaco, died on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 in Bridgeport Hospital. He was the son of the late Augostino and Anna Catalano, and served in the U. S. Army as a corporal in World War II in the 11th Armored Division- Third Army fighting under General Patton. He was a member of the VFW Post #9460 of Stratford, the Baldwin Center, the Stratford Seniors Mens Club and AARP.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 60 years, Anna Nicita Catalano, a daughter Gail Ann Catalano, a son Gary Catalano and his wife Marilyn, three grandchildren, Kristin, Steven and Christopher Catalano, all of Stratford, his devoted nephew and niece, Ronald Catalano and his wife Paula and Carole Marshella Rogers and her husband Robert and several additional nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers Salvatore, James and Anthony Catalano and two sisters, Mary Catalano and Ann Marshella. 

Funeral services will take place on Monday, February 9, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. directly in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Entombment with military honors will follow in the Chapel Mausoleum of Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
