Obituary of Angela Mary Castagna

Angela Mary Vaccarelli Castagna, age 75, of Stratford, a homemaker, died on Sunday, October 23, 2005 at her residence. Born in Rochester, New York on May 22, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Rose Petix Vaccarelli. Mrs. Castagna was a devout member of the Christian Assembly Church , and she was very active with church members, the Ladies Ministries and was a Sunday School teacher. Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Vincent Castagna, two sons, John Michael Castagna and Vincent Daniel Castagna and his wife, Susan, all of Stratford, sister, Mary Meiss and her husband, Rev. Philip Meiss, of Jay, Maine, five grandchildren, Kristal, John, Lauren, Mychele and Thomas as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Michael Vaccarelli. 

Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 28, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in the Christian Assembly Church, Stratford with the Rev. Philip Meiss, officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 -8 p.m.
