Obituary of Eugene W. Cassidy

U. S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War Eugene Gino W. Cassidy, Sr., age 79, of Easton, died on Thursday, December 30, 2010 in Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on December 3, 1931, he was a son of the late Gino P. and Ruby Ruscoe Cassidy and a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Cassidy was a retired construction superintendant for several construction companies. He was a past member of the Marchegiana Society, Port 5 and an avid Yankees and Giants Fan. Gino also loved to hunt, fish and travel. Survivors include his beloved wife of 57 years, Carmella Connie DiPasquale Cassidy, two sons, Eugene Cassidy Jr. and his wife Toni Anne of Oxford and Joseph Cassidy and his wife Cynthia of Queen Creek, AZ, a brother, Alfred P. Cassidy and his wife Eva of Southbury and two sisters, Norma Monda of MA and Alba Bohmer and her husband Walter of Milford, six grandchildren, Eugene W. III, Michael, Matthew, Anthony, Evan Joseph and Lauren Maureen Cassidy as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment with military honors will follow in the Chapel Mausoleum of Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
