Obituary of Frank Anastas

Resident of Trumbull Francis (Frank) J. Anastas, age 84, of Trumbull, died on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 in St. Vincents Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on April 10, 1926, he was a son of the late John and Mary Anastas and a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. Frank graduated from Central High School and the University of Bridgeport. He was a vice president of Sales at American Flange with over 40 years of service. An avid golfer and skier, he also enjoyed swimming. He was the national YMCA 50 yard freestyle swimming champion. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Rose Marie Dolly Althausen Anastas. Survivors include two sons, William Anastas of Redding and Robert Anastas and his wife Lezlie of Houston, TX, two granddaughters, Bryttany and Karolyn, two brothers, Lou Anastas and his wife Dee of Fairfield and John Anastas and his wife Harriet of Woodbury. The family would like to extend a thank you to his many friends, especially his nephew John Anastas for his support. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will follow with military honors in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
