Obituary of Dolores Magi Caruso

Devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother Dolores Magi Caruso, age 83, of Shelton, beloved wife of Joseph Caruso, died peacefully on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at St. Josephs Manor. Born on April 2, 1929 in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Baldisero and Anna DiPronio Magi. Mrs. Caruso was a graduate of the New Haven State Teacher College and had been a teacher for the Stratford Board of Education. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed. In addition to her beloved husband Joseph of 56 years, survivors include five children, Frank Caruso and Nancy Caruso, both of Shelton, Joseph Caruso and his wife Robin and John Caruso, all of Florida and Laura Caruso of Shelton, four grandchildren, James, Joe and Jason Callahan and Preston Caruso, a brother, William Magi and his wife Mary of Fairfield, sisters-in-law, Valerie Magi of Trumbull, Caroline Wakefield of Watertown, Angeline Schillaci of Bridgeport and Rita Quatrella of Easton as well as several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother Eugene Magi. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
