Frank Carrano

Obituary of Frank L. Carrano

Resident of Trumbull Frank L. Carrano, Jr., age 53, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Lisa Tantimonico Carrano, went to his heavenly rest in paradise on Wednesday November 14, 2007 with his family by his side. Frank fought a long and valiant battle with Multiple Myeloma, always exhibiting dignity and courage. The loving son of Ann Mennillo Carrano and the late Frank L. Carrano Sr., Frank was born in Bridgeport and lived there before moving to Trumbull six years ago. In addition to his wife and mother, Frank is survived by his cherished children, Ashley, Brett and Alexandra (Ali Poo) Carrano, family dogs Sasha and Suki, devoted sister Joanne Rodgerson and her husband Donald, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joe and Terry Tantimonico, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Laurie and Steve LaChioma, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Gary and Diane Tantimonico, his niece and six nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Frank graduated from Notre Dame Boys High School in Fairfield in 1972. He was a member of the IBEW Local 488 and a licensed electrician for the City of Bridgeport for 28 years. Many never knew the gravity of Franks illness because he never felt sorry for himself. While battling cancer, Frank found comfort in his family and in his love of woodworking. He was a master craftsman and although he had no formal training, the work he did left all who saw it in awe. Frank was an Eagle Scout but few people ever knew that. This is indicative of the person he was. Frank was a quiet gentleman who chose to live his life in the background. He was an unassuming man who never wanted to be the focus of attention and was always there to help his friends and family. In spite of his disease, Frank a.k.a. Mr. Fix It, maintained his sense of humor and his exemplary work ethic. He was a true hero to his children, who are left behind to carry on his legacy. Frank was a wonderful person who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Franks family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Tower 7 and ICU at Bridgeport Hospital, Swim Across the Sound, all of Frank and Lisas coworkers, his oncologist Dr. Witt, and all who have expressed their care and concern during this difficult time. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Fairfield for a Mass of Christian Burial.
