Obituary of Lewis J. Anastas

Lewis J. Anastas, age 89, of Southport, beloved husband of Dolores Humphrey Anastas, died on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at St. Vincents Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on May 12, 1922 he was a son of the late John and Mary Huray Anastas. Lew received his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut and was retired from the Moroso Co. He was a former member of the Trumbull Republican Town Committee and an active parishioner of St. Lukes Church, Westport. In addition to his wife Dee, survivors include a son, John Anastas and his wife Marietta of Trumbull, a daughter, Diane Anastas Ginty of Fairfield, stepchildren, Doug Sage and his wife Marisa and Peter Sage and his wife Sue all of Florida, Amy Gniadek and her husband Steve of Fairfield and Dana Sage of WA, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren; a brother, John J. Anastas and his wife Harriett of Woodbury, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Frank Anastas. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday February 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call on Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
