Obituary of Mary H. Amato
Mary Helen Pierson Amato, age 83, of Trumbull, beloved wife of Felix Amato, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2014 in St. Vincents Medical Center. Born in Queens, NY on December 15, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Loretta OBrien Pierson. Along with her husband, she was the co-owner and operator for 17 years of Were The Best Variety Store of Bridgeport, where she spent most of her time. She enjoyed playing cards with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband Felix, survivors include a son, Edward Amato and his wife Diane of West Haven, a daughter, Anna Spinelli and her husband Ralph of New Hampshire, a son-in-law, Joseph Toto of Shelton, a brother, Walter Pierson of New York City, seven grandchildren, Tyler and Christopher Toto, Edward Amato Jr., Gina Amato, Ralph Spinelli Jr., Felicia Maguire and her husband John and Anthony Spinelli, two great grandchildren, Mason and Nicholas Maguire. She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Theresa Toto, a granddaughter, Jennifer Spinelli, 14 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral Information
Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport on TUESDAY, March 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Family and friends may call on SUNDAY, March 2, 2014 from 12-4 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
