Obituary of Alfred J. Capozziello

Alfred J. Capozziello, Sr., age 54, of Ansonia, passed away peacefully after a long, courageous battle with cancer at home with his family and close friends by his side on Thursday, December 4, 2008. Born in Bridgeport, CT on February 12, 1954, he was the beloved son of Alfred M. Capozziello of Bridgeport and the late Carole Capasso Capozziello. He was a longtime employee of City Carting of Stamford. Al enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to dinner, going to the movies, or just relaxing at home watching Law & Order or the History Channel. Al was a unique individual who had a passion for helping others in need. His cherished memories will be left with his beloved longtime girlfriend Marlene Piscioniere, his loving children, Kristen L. Capozziello, 23, of Waterbury and Alfred J. Capozziello Jr., 19, of Ansonia and a stepdaughter Christin DeFelice, 24, of Ansonia. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Daniel Capozziello and his companion Brian Denning, Gregory Capozziello, Joanne Campbell-Smith and her husband Robert, Michael Capozziello and his wife Jodi and Sandra Capozziello Baxter. Al had several nieces and nephews, Danielle, Ryan, Adam, Alexandra, Derek and Cassandra, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Alfred will be greatly missed by the hundreds of lives he touched in his 54 years, including but not limited to, Frank Striano, John Dwyer and his wife Darlene, Sal DiNardo, Tom McArdle, Kenny Haddad, Joe Cardella, Jay Spear, Joe Lucas, Rich Gainey, Maureen OHara, Mario Goncalves and Henry Kogut. Funeral Information Friends can greet the family members at a memorial gathering that will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will take place on Monday, December 8, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in Trinity Baptist Church, 300 North Benson Rd., Fairfield. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton.
