Obituary of Carole C. Capozziello

Resident of Shelton Carole (Capasso) Capozziello, age 73, of Shelton, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2008 at her daughters home in Ansonia with her family by her side after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 12, 1935 in Bridgeport to the late John F. Capasso and Anna (Zaffis) Capasso. Carole was a wonderful mother who devoted her life to the care and comfort of her family. Her six children were her greatest legacy. She was nineteen when she became a mother and at the age of 40, she returned to school and became an LPN. She was an avid reader and loved doing crossword puzzles. She volunteered at the Bishop Wicke Health Care Center in Shelton as Treasurer of the Residents Association, and active member of the Residents Council and Sunshine Club. Carole will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was pre-deceased by a sister Jacqueline Cox. Survivors include her beloved children, Alfred Capozziello and his companion Marlene Piscioniere of Ansonia, Daniel Capozziello and his companion Brian Denning of Guilford, Gregory Capozziello of Ansonia, Joanne Campbell-Smith and her husband Robert of Ansonia, Michael Capozziello and his wife Jodi of Derby and Sandra Capozziello-Baxter of Fairfield, their father Alfred Capozziello Jr. of Bridgeport, eight grandchildren, Danielle, Ryan, Kristen, Adam, Alexandra, Alfred Jr., Derek and Cassandra, and great grandson, Link and several aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews as well as her best friend of 48 years Patricia M. Salvati of Trumbull. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, September 29, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church, 188 Rocky Rest Rd., Shelton. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton. Friends may call on Saturday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
