Obituary of Theresa Capozzi

Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Theresa Galatie Capozzi, age 85, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Bridgeport to the late Joseph and Mary Ruffo Galatie and was pre-deceased by her loving husband Anthony (Cappy) Capozzi and her infant granddaughter, Jessica Theresa Mancini. Theresa was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, quick wit and her ability to make everyone around her laugh. Theresa had a twinkle in her eye and her disposition was infectious. She loved sitting around her kitchen table entertaining and joking. Theresas philosophy was, being rich doesnt make you happy, but having a happy home makes you rich. Theresa leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine Fry and her husband James of Monroe, Deborah Mancini and her husband John and Donna Capozzi, all of Bridgeport, her loving and devoted grandchildren, Anthony and Jeffrey Fry, Melissa Yerrington and her husband Adam, Morgan Mancini and great granddaughter Emily Fry, her brothers, John, Joseph and Richard Galatie and sister, Gloria Bennett and her husband Merton, brother-in-law, Walter Kotelsky, sister-in-law, Ann Galatie, brother-in-law, Daniel Capozzi and his wife Evelyn, sister-in-law, Edith Comparato and many nieces and nephews. Theresa was blessed with a fourth daughter, Susan Hylton, her loving and devoted companion and caretaker. The family will forever be grateful for the love and care Susan gave Theresa for nearly 13 years. Theresa was pre-deceased by her sister, Antoinette Kotelsky and brother, Anthony Galatie. A special thank you to Hospice Nurse, Paula Dwyer for her gentleness and caring, social worker, Lynn Peyton and all of the staff at the Connecticut VNA. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
