Obituary of Theresa Candelora

Resident of Trumbull Theresa Oneta Candelora, age 94, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 8, 2008 at home with her family by her side. Born in New York, NY on February 5, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Angelina DAllesio Oneta. She was pre-deceased by her husband John J. Candelora, a brother and four sisters. She was a devoted wife and mother who took pride in her culinary talents. She enjoyed the company of her family and friends and always made visitors feel welcome. She had a passion for music especially the violin which she mastered as a young girl and even learned to play the piano later on in life. For her music was a large part of who she was. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Hilinski and her husband Walter and Diane Polacik and her husband Edward, all of Trumbull, six grandchildren, David Hilinski and his wife Allison, Michael Hilinski and his wife Jennifer, Marc Hilinski and his wife Rana, Joseph Polacik, Kristin Van Beever and her husband, Baird and John Polacik and his wife Breanna and seven great grandchildren. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Friday from 4-7 p.m.
