Obituary of Edgar F. Fengler

World War II Veteran Edgar F. Fengler, age 90, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Emma Bilo Fengler, died peacefully on Friday June 25, 2010 at his home. Born on November 13, 1919 he was a son of the late Frederick and Emma Witzke Fengler. A WW II army Air Corp veteran, he was also a retired employee of the former Bassick Manufacturing Co. As an avid carpenter he built his first home, as well as a summer cottage which the entire family enjoyed, building many fond memories. He was an active parishioner of Holy Cross Lutheran Church where he was on the building committee and a member of the Rock of Agers. He was a devoted family man who delighted in time spent with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family. In addition to his beloved wife of 70 years, Emma, survivors include a son Gerald Fengler and his wife Linda of Fort Myers, FL, a daughter, Colette Kimball of Woodbury, a sister Edna Capsalors of Newington, six grandchildren, Dale Kimball and his wife Jean, Marc Fengler and his wife Kelly, Stewart Kimball and his wife Colette, Scott Fengler and his wife Deanna and Brenda and Melissa Kimball; five great grandchildren, Jessica, Tyler, Jakob, Hannah, and Aubrey as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a great granddaughter, Samantha Kimball, two brothers, Howard and Herman Fengler and two sisters, Mavis OConnor and Gertrude Fengler. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 5995 Main Street, Trumbull on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. for funeral services. Interment with military honors will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds. Friends may call on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
