Obituary of Mona M. Caligiure

Mona M. Caligiure, age 81, of Trumbull, beloved wife of Peter P. Caligiure, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Bridgeport Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Esther Perrone McClune, and was a Trumbull resident over 55 years. Before her retirement, Mrs. Caligiure was a secretary for the Trumbull Board of Education. Above all other things, she dedicated her life to her family and her faith. She was a prayer warrior for her family and anyone else who was in need. At Black Rock Congregational Church, she served as a greeter, was a member of the Young at Heart Club and could always be found with her Bible within reach. In addition to her husband Peter of 61 years, survivors include a son, Peter P. Caligiure II and his wife Cheryl of Trumbull, a daughter, Robin Hannibal and her husband Donald of Monroe, four grandchildren, Matthew Caligiure and his wife Bethany, Sara Caligiure and her fiance Frank Labbate, David and Rachel Hannibal, two sisters, Bette Blaze of Stratford and Doris Russo of Trumbull, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased a brother, Howard McClune. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 498 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 pm at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
