Obituary of Joseph M. Caiola

Joseph M. Caiola, age 81, of Trumbull, a retired printer for Boise Cascade, died on Monday, October 2, 2006 at Maefair Health Care Center. Born in Bridgeport on March 4, 1925, he was a son of the late Michael and Fortuna Caliano Caiola. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the V.F.W. Post #100159 of Trumbull and also volunteered at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in West Haven. Joe was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and took great pleasure in helping others at Maefair Health Care Center, Trumbull. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Dolores Caiola, two brothers, Anthony Caiola and John Caiola and a sister, Sue Sherwood. Survivors include four sons, Joseph Caiola, Jr. of Trumbull, John Caiola of Fairfield, Paul Caiola of Monroe and Randall Caiola of Trumbull, a daughter, Joelle Classey of Westerly, Rhode Island, a brother, Sam Caiola of Bridgeport, three sisters, Louise Gulas of Newtown, Lucy Yanosy of Bridgeport and Mary Tompkins of Hamden, thirteen grandchildren, a great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours.
