Obituary of Lucy Wendel

Lucy Gworek Wendel, age 81, of Trumbull, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on July 27, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Ludwig and Michaelina Gworek.

Mrs. Wendel was pre-deceased by her husband, Alfonse Wendel and two sisters, Genevieve Gottlieb and Anne Mrozek.

Survivors include a son, Robert Wendel of New York City, a daughter, Dr. Karen Wendel Curd and her husband, Dr. John Curd of Hillsborough, California, a sister, Wanda Miller of Bridgeport, four grandchildren, Alison, Jonathan, Edward and Bethany Curd as well as several nieces and nephews. 

A Prayer Service will take place on Monday, March 14, 2005 at 9:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 3-7 p.m.
