Obituary of Mary Voynick
Mary Zaffis Voynick, age 97, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late George Voynick died on Monday, August 18, 2008 in the Ludlowe Center, Fairfield. Born in Bridgeport on April 15, 1911, she was a daughter of the late George Costa and Frances Sima Zaffis, and was a 90 year city resident. She was a retiree of McKesson Labs. Mrs. Voynick was a devoted member and served for many years as secretary at the Brooklawn Seventh Day Adventist Church, Bridgeport. Survivors include a son, George M. Voynick and his wife Judy; a daughter, Frances V. Parker and her husband Lloyd, all of Sarasota, FL; a sister, Madeline Orsog of Shelton; five grandchildren, Damon and Tasha Voynick, Karen Alexander, Alison Phillips, Merritt OBrien and six great grandchildren, Jenna, Ryan, Phoenix, Taylor, Dalton and Stirling as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Gus Zaffis and two sisters, Anna Capasso and Olympia Warren. Funeral Information
Funeral services will take place on Monday, August 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Sunday from 3-5 p.m. Donations Information
