Obituary of Cesina Viselli

Cesina (Zelinda) Mollica Viselli, age 94, of Bridgeport, wife of the late Angelo Viselli passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Ludlowe Center, Fairfield. Born in Strangolagalli, Italy on October 1, 1919 she was a daughter of the late Giovanni and Philomena Sementilli Mollica and came to the U.S. in 1958 and was a Bridgeport resident for 55 years. Shortly after coming to the United States, Cesina found employment in various clothing factories and worked until retirement age. Although Italian was her first language, she had a remarkable ability to connect and converse with all nationalities. Cesina had a green thumb and generously shared the products of her garden to all. Her door was always open to visitors and she readily offered food and drink to all those stopping by. In addition to her husband Angelo of 65 years she was predeceased by a daughter, Andreina Viselli, a sister, Maria Picarazzi and brothers, Emilio, Antonio and Gaetano Mollica. She leaves to cherish her memory, sons: John Viselli of Bridgeport, Perry Viselli and his wife Noreen of Shelton, Benny Viselli and his wife Lena of Fairfield, grandchildren: Marc Viselli, David Viselli, Lauren Abriola, Maurizio Viselli and Melissa Viselli. She also leaves seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their thanks and appreciation to the entire staff at the Ludlowe Center 4th floor for their exceptional care. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Margaret Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Mausoleum, Stratford.
