Obituary of Sophia A. Brown

Waterbury Resident Sophia A. Brown, age 97, of Waterbury, a homemaker, died on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 in St. Marys Hospital. Born in Staten Island, New York on September 18, 1908, she was a daughter of the late John and Antonia Jakuboski Smigowski. Mrs. Brown was very devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Cecil Brown, a daughter, Elaine Quevas and a son Eugene Brown. Survivors include a son, Thomas Brown and his wife, Jean of Vermont and a daughter, Julia Kuehn and her husband, Leslie of Trumbull, thirteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Friends may call on Saturday from 12-1 p.m.
