Obituary of Frank D. Verrilli

Resident of Trumbull Frank D. Verrilli, age 88, of Trumbull, died on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 in St. Vincent Medical Center. A. U. S. Army veteran of World War II, he was born in Stratford on December 1, 1917 and was employed by Remington Arms before starting his own sign business and later Verrilli Electric. He was the founder of the Fairfield County Electrical Association, charter member of St. Theresa Church, Knights of Columbus, the past president of Trumbull Center Volunteer Fire Department and the Trumbull Lions Club. He started and ran the Rehabilitation Social Club of Bridgeport for 21 years, was a member of the Bridgeport Community Mental Health Center, a board member of Family Services Woodfield, the Tashua Knolls Golf Committee and the Bridgeport Better Business Bureau, a member of the Bridgeport area BAVA and the Bridgeport Chapter of UNICO and was the Italian American of the Year in 1999 for the Roma Club. Mr. Verrilli was elected to the Trumbull Town Council in 1965 serving for 22 years and had worked as an Assistant Registrar of Voters in Trumbull for two years at the age of 85. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Ann Chervenak Verrilli, two sons, David Verrilli and his wife, Marianne and Ken Verrilli and his wife, Carol, all of Trumbull, a daughter, Faith Quaranta and her husband, Guy of Lexington, KY, grandchildren, David Verrilli and his wife, Sally, Lori Staurovsky and her husband, Jim, Rita Boland and her husband, Patrick, Craig Verrilli, Dina Justus and her husband, Stuart and Monique Quaranta, great grandchildren, Shaye, McKenna, Jessica, Kaitlin, Randy, Brianna and Jacob as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, June 9, 2006 at 9 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery of Easton.
