Obituary of Neil Velasquez
Resident of Stratford
VELASQUEZ Neil Velasquez, Sr., age 68, of Stratford, the owner and operator of Cedar Design, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2011 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in New York City on October 12, 1942, he was a son of the late Ida Morales Velasquez. A U. S. Marine Corps veteran, he truly loved serving in the Marines. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed boating and coaching Little League and Pop Warner Football. Survivors include his beloved wife Antoinette Pisano Velasquez, three children, Dawn Prince and her husband Patrick, Neil Velasquez Jr. and his wife Judith and Christine Butterworth and her husband Robert, all of Stratford, four grandchildren, Patrick Prince, Shawn Prince, Anna Velasquez and Neil Velasquez III, as well as two step grandchildren, Robert Butterworth Jr. and Emily Butterworth. Funeral services will take place on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in Mount St. Peter Cemetery, Derby. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. Donations Information
