Obituary of Frank V. Briganti

Resident of Trumbull Frank Vincent Briganti, age 80, of Trumbull, loving husband of Rosann Amico Briganti, died peacefully on Monday, June 7, 2010 at St. Vincent Medical Center with his loving family by his side. A son of the late Cosimo and Fortunata Macri Briganti, he was born in Scilla, Italy on July 8, 1929 and came to the United States in 1948. Mr. Briganti earned two Masters Degrees in Engineering from the University of Bridgeport and MBA in Business Administration from Fairfield University. His career included working with Northrop Grumman where he was proud to be a member of the design team that helped create the Lunar Excursion Module for the 1969 Moon landing, the Newark Transit Authority as a Schedule Development Monorail Engineer and Electrical Maintenance Services of Fairfield, retiring in 2006. He was an honest, smart, patient and loving man who will be deeply missed. Affectionately known as Pop Pop, he cherished the time he spent with his granddaughter, who was his Little Sunshine. In addition to his devoted wife of 45 years, Rosann, survivors include a daughter Maria Briganti-LaCroix and her husband Michael of Guilford, a son, Frank C. Briganti and his wife Joann Bernardo Briganti of Oxford, his granddaughter Allison-Margo Briganti, two brothers Anthony Briganti and Dominic Briganti and his wife Racquel as well as several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Sal Briganti, two sisters, Jenny Cotroneo and Clara DiLonardo, a brother-in-law, Joe DiLonardo, a sister-in-law Rose Briganti and a nephew Christopher Veneruso. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
