Obituary of John M. Tufano

Former Trumbull Resident John M. Tufano, age 83, formerly of Trumbull, a retired foreman for the Diocese of Bridgeport with over 25 years of service at St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford, died on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in Buckley Healthcare, Greenfield, MA. Born in Bridgeport on April 3, 1929, he was a son of the late Salvatore and Bruna Ballerini Tufano, and was a longtime resident of Trumbull before moving to East Hampton, MA. He had served in the National Guard. John was an avid bowler and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, gardening and spending time with his family. Survivors include two sons, Alan D. Tufano and his wife Lisa of Gill, MA, and David J. Tufano of Somersworth, NH; brother, Albert Tufano and his wife Eleanor of Burlington, VT; sister, Rose Scinto of Monroe; three cherished grandchildren, Alexander, Jennifer and Benjamin Tufano; nieces, Karen and Kathy Tufano, and Christine Greene; nephews, Ernest Jr., Steven and David Scinto. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Ernest Scinto Sr. Funeral Information Calling hours will take place on Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 1-5 pm with funeral services at 4 pm in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Entombment with full military honors will take place at 11:30 am on Monday, March 18, 2013 directly in St. Michael Cemetery Garden Mausoleum, Stratford.
