Obituary of Luigi Tucci

Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather Luigi Tucci age 87, of Trumbull, entered eternal life on Friday December 12, 2008 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Tocco da Casauria, Abruzzo, Italy on January 23, 1921, he was the son of the late Carmine and Vincenza Lupone Tucci. Mr. Tucci was a veteran of the Italian Army, stationed in North Africa during WWII. Learning his Trade in Italy, he contributed to the expansion of Venezuela during the 50s. Mr. Tucci then came to the United States in 1959, settling in Bridgeport, and had a successful and distinguished career as a Stone Mason with BAC Union Local 1. Luigis craftsmanship and affection for his work are displayed in numerous projects throughout Fairfield and New Haven counties. However, Luigis true love was building a solid foundation for raising his family through sacrifice and dedication, as well as compassion to those less fortunate. He especially enjoyed nurturing and spending quality time with his beloved grandchildren. Luigi was a lifelong member of the Circolo Sportivo Italian club. Survivors include his devoted wife of 49 years, Anna Marino Tucci; two loving sons, Angelo Tucci and his wife Deborah of Stratford, and Anthony Tucci and his wife Sandra of Trumbull; Four cherished grandchildren, Angelo, Jessica, Alessandro and Claudia; a brother, Vittorio Tucci of Melbourne, Australia; a sister, Maria Tucci of Italy, as well as many nieces and nephews in the United Sates, Italy, and Australia. He was predeceased by a brother Domenico; and sister, Elisabetta Croce. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday December 16, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Raphael Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Mountain Grove Cemetery Pilgrimage Mausoleum, Bridgeport.
