Obituary of Luigi Giacobbe

Resident of Bridgeport Luigi Giacobbe, age 81, of Bridgeport, a retired employee for Dictaphone, died on Monday, January 9, 2006 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Flumeri, Province of Avellino, Italy on December 17, 1924, he was a son of the late John and Phyllis Giacobbe. Mr. Giacobbe enjoyed gardening and wine making. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Carmela Silano Giacobbe, two daughters, Gloria Ribas and her husband, Joe and Linda Ciocca and her husband, Domenick, all of Monroe, his son-in-law, Nick Bragano of Trumbull, a brother, Guiseppe Giacobbe of Bridgeport, two sisters, Prudenzia Giacobbe of Italy and Rose Pezzalla of Argentina, six grandchildren, Domenick, Jr., Stephen, Jenna, Catherine, Nicholas and Matthew as well as many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his daughter, Mary Bragano and three brothers, Francesco, Raphael and Angelo Giacobbe. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 12, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Stephen Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum of Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
