Obituary of Carmela Giacobbe

Homemaker Carmela Silano Giacobbe, age 81, of Monroe and formally of Bridgeport, died peacefully on Saturday, October 7, 2006 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Flumeri, Province of Avellino, Italy on May 27, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Marie Silano. A homemaker, she was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister and will be missed by all. She was pre-deceased by her husband Luigi Giacobbe and a daughter Mary Bragano. Survivors include two loving daughters Gloria Ribas and her husband, Joe and Linda Ciocca and her husband, Domenick all of Monroe, a brother, Peter Silano of Shelton, four sisters, Angela Marie Tarantino of Trumbull, Josephine Giacobbe of Bridgeport, Rose Feola of Monroe and Angie Renucci of Bridgeport, six cherished grandchildren, Domenick, Jr. Stephen, Jenna, Catherine, Nicholas and Matthew, a son-in-Law, Nick Bragano, and several nieces and nephews. . Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stephen Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum of the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m
