Obituary of Doris E. Tenney

Resident of Trumbull Doris E. Tenney, age 95, of Trumbull, formerly of Massachusetts, died peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2009 in Lord Chamberlain, Stratford. Born in Medford, MA on May 17, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Gertrude Hankinson Ewell Myles and William Ewell and Step-daughter of John P. Myles. Doris was the widow of the late Ralph E. Tenney, they had been married for 67 years. Survivors include a cherished daughter, Lorraine J. Sabol and her husband Joseph J. of Trumbull, three step-grandchildren, Marcus Sabol, Jessica Lanza and her husband Robert and Justin Sabol, two step-great grandchildren, Salvtore (Sammy) and Sofia Lanza, two brothers-in-law, Clarence H. Tenney of MA and Robert E. Tenney of FL and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a half brother, Harvey Myles, and a step-brother John A. Myles. The family would like to thank the third floor staff and Physical therapy staff at Lord Chamberlain for the loving and expert care that they gave Mother. They are a truly compassionate group of individuals. Funeral Information Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull with the Reverend Elizabeth Schrader officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives may call on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
