Obituary of Anthony P. Tedesco

Devoted Father and Grandfather Anthony P. Tedesco, age 87, of Trumbull, was reunited with his beloved wife Rose M. DElia Tedesco on Friday July 19, 2013. Born in Bridgeport on December 28, 1925, he was a son of the late Dominick and Antoinette Carbone Tedesco. A butcher for over 65 years, at the age of 17, Tony opened the Paradise Superette in Bridgeport for which he operated for many years. Tony will always be known for his delicious sausage and his homemade wine. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Theresa Church where he was an usher for many years; a past officer and member of the Trumbull Italian Community Club and the Italian Community Center in Bridgeport. Above all he was a devoted father and grandfather who cared very deeply for his family. Though he will be deeply missed, his love and legacy will continue to live on through his family. In addition to his wife Rose, he was predeceased by his son Anthony D. Tedesco and a sister, Mary Ascenzo. Survivors include his loving and devoted daughter, Antoinette Simeone and her husband Dominick of Huntington, daughter-in-law, Sheryl Tedesco of Milford, five cherished grandchildren, Anthony Tedesco and Tela, Nicholas Tedesco and his wife Brittany, Joseph Tedesco, Victoria Simeone and Garrett and Mark Simeone, a adored great grandson Logan Anthony; a brother, Angelo Tedesco and his wife Pat of Boynton Beach, FL, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a sincere and heartfelt thank you to Melissa Teto R.N. and the doctors and staff of Bridgeport Hospital for their care, dedication and professionalism given to Tony in his time of need. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
