Obituary of William H. Taylor
William H. Taylor, age 86, of Bridgeport, a retired employee of General Electric with 41 years of service, died on Sunday, October 22, 2006 at Hewitt Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Bridgeport on December 19, 1919, he was the son of the late Charles and Alice Morgan Taylor. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, he served with the Army Engineer 61st Combat Battalion. He was a true family man and dedicated his life to his family.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Gertrude Hughes Taylor and a son, Edward Taylor.
Survivors include two daughters, Alice Kelly and her husband, Walter and Kathleen Ketchum and her husband, George, all of Shelton, a sister, Ella Maloney of Stratford, two grandchildren, Edward Kelley of Torrington and Shawn Ketchum and his wife, Simone of Branford and several nieces and nephews.
Friends can greet the family on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 from 4-7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A prayer service will take place on Wednesday night at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
