Obituary of William W. Tanski

William W. Tanski, age 72, of Trumbull, a retired employee for Avco (Textron) Lycoming with 35 years of service, died on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 in St. Vincents Medical Center. Born in Stratford on July 23, 1932, he was a son of the late Bolick and Eleanor Stomsky Tanski and was a U. S. Army Air Force veteran. Mr. Tanski worked as a Dental Technician for Drs. Leonard and Mark Feinberg for over 50 years and was also the owner and operator of Tanski Dental Lab. He had a big heart and gave so much to everyone that he didnt save enough for himself.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Rachel DAngelico Tanski, children, Debbie Pedersen and her husband, David of West Haven, William Tanski of North Carolina and Wendy Suarez and her husband, Joseph of Coral Springs, Florida, a brother, Raymond Tanski and his wife, Edith of Stratford, two sisters, Eleanor Duhancik of Milford and Teresa Gendron of Stratford, five grandchildren, Ashley and William Pedersen and Veronica, Justin and Jackson Suarez as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by sisters, Veronica Tanski and Irene Halpin.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Vincent Medical Center 6th floor north and south, the Congestive Heart Failure Clinic, Cardiac Rehabilitation and the doctors and staff of both Cardiac Associates and Dr. Arcangelo DiStefano for their unwavering care and support. You gave us the gift of time for which we will be forever grateful. 

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, May 28, 2005 at 8:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
