Obituary of Flora Baldini

Resident of Shelton Flora Piccioli Baldini, age 89, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Egidio Baldini, died peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, March 8, 2008 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on January 22, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Domenic and Ida Ceccarelli Piccioli. Mrs. Baldini was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers and cooking, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family. She was a former member of the Marchegiana Society. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Tomatore of Shelton and Carol Baldini of Orlando, FL, a sister, Felsa Barrett and her husband Roy of Fairfield, sister-in-law, Connie Piccioli of Trumbull, four grandchildren, Keith Tomatore and his wife Meredith of Washington, DC, Karen Tomatore of Shelton, Jerrid Kalakay and his wife Deana and Brittany Kovats and her husband Nick, all of Orlando, two great grandchildren, Logan and Aidan Kovats and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Flavio Piccioli. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
