Obituary of Mary Ann Szymanski

Devoted Mother, Grandmother, Sister Mary A. (Passaro) Szymanski, age 84, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Vincent G.(Tweet) Szymanski, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at St. Vincent Medical Center. She was a daughter of the late Michael Passaro and Rose DeLorenzo Passaro. Born on April 9, 1921, in Bridgeport, Mary was an employee of Bridgeport Brass for 25 years and retired from Bryant Electric after 12 years. She was also employed by Photek for 13 years. In her early years Mary was an avid swimmer, golfer and bowler. In her later years she enjoyed on the road again to the casino. Mary is survived by her beloved daughter, Sandra M. Parauka and son in law Lance Parauka Sr. of Bridgeport, who loved and cared for her dearly, a brother Anthony Passaro and his wife Shirley of Trumbull, two loving grandchildren, Lance Parauka Jr., and Jason Parauka of Naugatuck, and many nieces and nephews, whom will never forget the way she touched their hearts with her great sense of humor and help. Being from a large family, she was pre-deceased by nine brothers and sisters, Pauline Miakos, Anna LaConte, Charlie Passaro, Joseph (Pippy) Passaro, Michael Passaro, Patsy Passaro, Rose Perrocco, Lucy Santos and Edward (Duch) Passaro. Mary will be very greatly missed by her family and friends. Mom, Dad saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered come to me, with tearful eyes I watched you and saw you pass away. Although I loved you dearly I could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our heart to prove to us, he only takes the best! Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
