Obituary of Edward H. Sutherland

Edward Harold Sutherland, a.k.a. Sudsy, age 69, of Derby, beloved husband of Ann Barry Sutherland died Thursday, September 1, 2005 at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven. Born in Bridgeport to the late Edward and Natalie Buccino Sutherland, he was a longtime city resident before retiring to Derby. He was a retired teamster member of Union Local 191 and was a special needs driver for the First Student Bus Company in his retirement years. He was a member of the Classics Nights Car Club of Monroe and other hobbies included riding his beloved Harley Davidson.

In addition to his devoted wife, survivors include a sister, two daughters, Donna Deyo and her husband, George of Maryland and Shalene Augustin and her husband, Fritz of Bridgeport, four sons, Edward, Gregory, Brian and Jeff, step-sons, Joseph, Anthony and Dean Ferranti and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, September 3, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
